Core Inquiries

Technical details regarding text qr generator implementation and security.

How much text can I put in a QR code?

A standard QR code can hold up to 7,000 numeric characters or about 3,000 alphanumeric characters. However, as the amount of text increases, the grid becomes denser and harder to scan from a distance.

Is the text encrypted within the QR?

No. QR codes are an encoding standard (like Base64), not an encryption standard. Anyone with a QR scanner can read the message. For sensitive data, encrypt the text before pasting it into the generator.

Will the text be readable without the internet?

Yes. Unlike dynamic QR codes that redirect through a server, our static text codes contain the full data payload. Any modern smartphone can decode a text QR code even in airplane mode.
